About Us
Chuck and Becky, both native Virginians, met in northern Virginia
where Chuck had worked for 25 years as a cabinetmaker specializing
in custom woodworking and antique reproduction. Becky worked for
a major builder in customer service. Choosing a slower way of life,
Chuck and Becky decided to relocate to Dugspur, Virginia. There
they found the perfect mini-farm, complete with a shop for Chuck to
do his woodworking. It was then that they met their delightful
neighbor, Fay Gearrin. Fay and her husband Paul had been making
psaltery for over 30 years. Fay guided Chuck's instruction and
training on making his beautiful and sweet sounding psaltery. What
had originally started out as a hobby- making gifts for family and
friends- then turned into a business and a source of income. Since
then, Chuck has been selling his instruments with his psaltery going to
customers in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, England,
Finland, Australia, Japan, Russia, and Spain !
